In 2006, sponsored by FIFA, fans around the world looked forward to the four-year sports event, the World Cup, a month-long event in 12 courses across Germany. When we heard about this news, we thought that this was a great opportunity to let the world know about Formolight, so we actively contacted our German agents, to gain the opportunity to provide our full-color LED display panels in the stadium. Speaking of the most eye-catching stadium, it is definitely the venue for the opening and closing ceremonies, and as the closing ceremony in Berlin is definitely a battleground for big global manufacturers, and the competition would be absolutely (the most) fierce, we decided to dedicate our resources to the opening ceremony, in the stadium which is also the most amazing, and finally became one of the landmarks of Munich – the Allianz Arena stadium, and finally we won the contract.
Due to the high-profile opening ceremony, we strive to make the best products, concentrating in to every detail, from engineering planning, software design, to field installation testing, etc.. During the process, we also encountered problems that we had not encountered before. For example, the installation of the device at a high altitude position in an open court, had to face the extreme temperature difference between the inside and outside of the field; and in order to achieve the best broadcast quality, the hardware and software required, to support the ultra-high speed image processing system; also the structure and strength of the cabinet, during the installation with the super large panel hangers, etc. We have devoted all our efforts to overcome every obstacle, to ensure the audience won’t miss any single wonderful shot.
During the entire month of the World Cup, the full color LED display of Formolight was the only one operated properly without any failure from all the LED display boards in the 12 courses. The Allianz Stadium authorities were very satisfied with this outstanding result and provided an official Letter of Appreciation to recognize the ability and capability of Formolight Technology, Inc.
